Hallie Milstein—An Introduction

Hello. Nice to meet you and welcome to my blog! Up first on the itinerary is a quick introduction, so here’s the basics on what you should know about me:

I was born and raised in New Rochelle, NY. 

I am 20 years old.

I am studying journalism and religious studies at Elon University and I expect to graduate in May of 2022. 

Likes: traveling, languages, movies and Thai food

Dislikes: calculus and ice cream cake

Now that that’s over with… let’s dig a little bit deeper.

My ultimate goal is to have a career in the magazine industry, combining my passions for writing, storytelling and culture. I am currently the features section editor for The Edge, my university’s lifestyle and fashion magazine for which I wrote weekly feature articles previously. 

Some more fun facts about my life: I have a children’s book available for purchase, co-authored with my dad, and I also work at Elon’s Writing Center as a consultant. Lastly, I am a member of the Multifaith Scholars program for which I am conducting a two-year mentored research project studying Jewish values and identity relative to capitalism and Wall Street.
